Preity Zinta, the gutsy co-owner of Kings XI of Punjab team of IPL and dimpled beauty of bollywood, is likely to sell some of her stakes in the team to redevelop Kamalistan studio, which is being given to her by Shandar Amrohi as he considers her to be his adopted daughter.
There is a strong buzz in the industry that Preity Zinta might opt to redevelop the studio with a Pune based builder. As the redevelopment of studio would need money, Preity is expected to raise this from her ownership in IPL, which is said to be of the tune of around Rs 400 crore.
The money obtained from this would be invested in Kamalistan studios, which is worth more than Rs 600 crore at the present market rate of realty in Mumbai. There is a strong buzz that Preity Zinta is likely to get the rights of Kamalistan studios through an out of court settlement as the law courts would take too much of time.
It may be recalled that Preity Zinta had bought the King XI Team of Punjab in partnership with Ness Wadia, who was also her boyfriend at that time. However, in the second season which was held in South Africa, the relationship could not survive and they decided to go their separate ways.
In any case, the Punjab team has not been able to perform on the field this time despite of having a strong batting line up like Yuvraaj Singh, Sangkara, Jaywardhene, etc. Even the bowling department has the likes of Australian pacer Brett Lee and Indian spinner Piyush Chawla.

Preity Zinta’s King XI Punjab team of IPL is already out of semifinals and their remaining matches are more of formality than anything else. But gutsy lady never blames the players for the debacle of team and takes everything in her stride.
